Description
Obatala is the head of the Ifa Pantheon of Orisha Gods. He is similar to Anu, Odin, and Zeus in that he heads the order of Gods and many of them are guided by him. He produces major clarity of pure white light in the minds of those who petition his power.
He has his position in Ifa for a very good reason.
He is the sky father and creator of human bodies, which were brought to life by Olorun's breath. Obatala is the father of all Orishas and the owner of all Ori. Any Orisha may claim an individual, but until that individual is initiated into the priesthood of that Orisha, Obatala still owns that head.
